Review Day Tuesday: Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trios

Lately, Anastasia Beverly Hills has launched A TON of new products, such as liquid highlight, blush trios, new liquid lipstick colors, and an entire lipstick line. Word on the street is that they're aiming to sell their brand to a major makeup conglomerate, such as Estee Lauder or L'Oreal, so they're cranking out product (I'm assuming to make their income spreadsheets appear as if they're profit margin is significantly higher than last year - but that's a whole other conversation).

One of the products they recently launched were Blush Trios, and every single compact has the most beautiful combination of colors.  I was so pumped to try these out, so imagine my surprise when I walked into my local Sephora and saw them on display.  The packaging is stunning, it reminds me of Chanel. So in that department, they totally nailed it!  I had every intention of buying every single one.  So immediately, I began swatching them... and I could not be more disappointed.  The pigmentation was not there in most and the formula was wildly inconsistent: some worked well, while others were HELLA chalky.  Only ONE of the three blush trios I sampled actually swatched well, but the colors in it were so dark, they'd never work on my skintone (don't worry, I came prepared with evidence).

"Pool Party" (yes, there are 3 colors on my hand)
"Peachy Love" (...getting better?)
"Berry Adore" (EUREKA! Success... Kinda.)

For $30 and individual pans BARELY big enough to fit a brush in without mixing two together, it fell short of my ABH expectations.  I normally love their products so I was sorely disappointed to see such poor performance from a brand that typically sets the quality control standard.  Nonetheless, save your money, HARD PASS! Definitely NOT BBPAD APPROVED!
