First Impressions Friday [Brand Review]: Pixi by Petra

ATTENTION ALL TARGET SHOPPERS! ATTENTION ALL TARGET SHOPPERS!

If you are like me, and every time you go to Target for "just toilet paper," you end up buying $400 worth of clothes, groceries, makeup, and other miscellaneous items, then you will appreciate this post!  Today, we are tackling the Target-exclusive brand, Pixi by Petra.  I purchased a handful of makeup and skincare products by this brand to review for you - I am excited to share my findings.

Pixi by Petra + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse ($24) - This is AWESOME to take off the day, especially if you have dry skin such as myself!  One side is a solid, yet soft, cleansing oil that easily removes all of your makeup, while the cream side works to gently cleanse the skin without stripping it of its natural oils and over-drying it.

Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner ($15) - I used this for about 6 months and loved the results.  The 5% glycolic acid gently gets rid of all the gross, dead surface skin to reveal brighter, tighter, glowing skin.  Meanwhile, the ginseng and aloe soothe redness and texture.  This is ideal for sensitive skin that wants to dabble in chemical exfoliants, with minimal risk of irritation.

Hydrating Milky Mist ($15) - I previously reviewed this product at length as a dupe for a high-end setting mist, you can read more about it HERE.

Glow Mist ($15) - While I wouldn't personally repurchase this product, because I think there are better alternatives out there, it is a great essence to begin your skincare collection with.

Get the Look It's Eyes Time Eyeshadow Palette ($22) - This collection of warm neutral shades are super creamy, pigmented, and blendable.  If you're looking for an affordable, high-quality palette you can wear every day, evening, special occasion, look no further.  If I had to pick just ONE drugstore palette to recommend to EVERY SINGLE PERSON, THIS. IS. IT.

Pixi by Petra + Aspynovard Glow-y Powder ($16) - I purchased this highlighter in "Santorini Sunset," a light champagne-y gold, and it is BEAUTIFUL.  A buttery, pigmented, high-shine formula, not powder-y at all.  Definitely one of the best drugstore highlighters on the market.  Be warned though: this is a blinding highlight so if you're into subtle shine, this is probably not the one for you.

Overall, I think Pixi by Petra is an amazing brand, especially for beginners. While its price tag is more than most at the drugstore, its superb quality justifies the higher cost.  XOXO
