What's The Fuss (WTF) Wednesday: Guerlain L'Or Radiance Primer

You guys KNOW I love drugstore, affordably-priced products and companies but I wanted to start a new series that conquers the other end of the spectrum: I will purchase wildly expensive products and test them out to see if they're worth the high price tag!  I think I mostly wanted to do this as an excuse to try products that are so ridiculously priced, they make you say WTF?! (see what I did there) and then we can all laugh about companies overvaluing their name on mediocre products.

First up, Guerlain L'Or Radiance Primer with REAL GOLD FLECKS!🙊😲 I first heard about this product from two of my favorite YouTube Influencers, Tati (GlamLifeGuru) and Jaclyn Hill. Both beautiful ladies absolutely RAVE about this product. I think it's even one of Tati's holy grail favorites! My initial thought was, "if only I could bring myself to spend that kinda money on a primer so I could see what the fuss is about!?" It is normally $75, but as soon as the VIB Rouge Sale went live, I knew I had to try it, bringing the price down to a slightly more digestible $65.  I know that's still CRAZY for anything, let alone a primer, but thats what this series is all about so lets swallow the vomit rising in our throats and press onwards, shall we?

Let it be known I wanted to hate this product. I wanted to open it, find cheap packaging, and an even worse product that was totally gimmicky.... but that's not at all the experience that I had.

The packaging is stunning and it feels expensive! I mean, it should given the price tag, but it is a thick, heavy glass container with fancy, gold hardware and a PUMP! I love when skincare and makeup has a pump because it makes the product last longer since it is airtight.

As far as the actual product inside is concerned, I'm just going to be honest... This product made me eat my words.  It is AMAZING.  Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, provides so much radiance and dewiness under any foundation, while making foundation budge-proof all day! I can't say enough good things about it.  No, I don't expect anyone to run out and purchase it (unless you're a true makeup addict, such as myself) but it is gorgeous on the skin.

** What do you think of this new series? What products do you want to see me test out?  Leave it in the comments XOXO **

  1. Great. Now I have to cough up $75 dollars for this bad boy. Curse you, Guerlain, curse you.
