First Impressions Friday: Kylie Cosmetics Kylighters

Today is LAUNCH DAY!! Can you believe it?! I have been working SO HARD on this project for weeks, trying to come up with interesting content that contains pretty pictures and a touch of humor. I take great pride in my blog, so I hope you love it as much as I do.

Anyways, let's jump into some makeup chitchat, shall we? Today is First Impressions Friday and as you can tell by the title, we are tackling the coveted Kylie Cosmetics.  I have some of her lip kits, which are alright, but considering that they are exactly the same as the ColourPop Ultra Matte formula and about three times the price, I'm not the biggest fan (Don't believe me? Check out Stephanie Nicole's Review).

When I saw Kylie Cosmetics was launching highlighters, aka "Kylighters," I was intrigued.  Between the pictures on social media of her blinding highlight and the various swatches of the six different colors, I knew I had to grab a couple to test out.  I desperately wanted "Cotton Candy Cream" but it sold out in three minutes during the second release.  However, I did manage to grab "Salted Caramel" (a beautiful true, warm gold) and "Strawberry Shortcake" (a gorgeous, glowy pink with a champagne shift).

These highlighters have a lot of mixed reviews all over the internet so I am here today to clear the air: I personally LOVE them!  For starters, they are HUGE.  They're 9.5 grams for $22... just for reference, the famous BECCA highlighters (sold at Sephora) are 8g for $38. In my personal opinion, they're equally stunning on the skin!! They are blindingly glowing, perfectly pigmented, but they are NOT sparkly whatsoever and they also do not look like a foiled eyeshadow on your face.  They are exactly what I love in a highlighter.  Definitely worth the money, BBPAD Approved!

If you'd like to see swatches on my face, leave it in the comments below! XOXO

  1. I'd love to see swatches on your face!

  2. If you want your dogs to remain happy and content then you have to feed them with the best dog food. This in turn means that you will have to consider a few things that will help you pick the best foods for your dog.
